This result is greater than the standard value 870 J/kg degree Celsius. If the difference is solely due to energy loss to the surrounding, calculate the energy lost in 8 minutes. ** As there is a graph in the question, some information may me missing, pls ues symbol to represent it. I don't know is there are missing infomation or not! THXXXX!!!
最佳解答:
Energy supplied by the heater in 8 minutes = 65 x (8 x 60) J = 31200 J Hence, 31200 = 1.7 x 983 x (T-20) where T is the temperature reached in 8 minutes solve for T gives T = 38.67'C Let Q be the amount of heat lost to the surroundings in 8 minutes, the heat balance equation is: 31200 = 1.7x 870 x (38.67-20) + Q i.e. Q = 3590 J
